When You Stop Feeling

numb-it-all-pills

Awareness is essential to the healing process. When you get hurt, it’s the role of the nerve system to sense the damage and inform your brain (pain) so the healing can start. Masking the ‘awareness’ step creates problems.

Unfortunately, in an effort to create perpetual comfort, drug companies have become very good at desensitizing people to their own physical and emotional pain alarm systems – and apparently those around them as well. According to a recent study by Ohio State University, when you take something as simple as acetaminophen (Tylenol) to reduce your pain, you may also be decreasing your empathy for both the physical and social suffering of others as well. So much for the old saying “…I feel your pain.”

While the medical profession and its pharmaceutical cousins strive to numb you, Chiropractors remove tension in your nervous system so you can fully experience your environment and respond to whatever life throws at you, both good and bad. No one likes to feel pain or discomfort, but we need to recognize it as the body’s attempt to save itself. When you stop feeling, you stop healing – not only yourself, but potentially everyone around you.

The Spinal Column ~ April 2017

EasterAPRIL 2017

Everything in our body is perceived through the nerve system.  It is the master controller and processor for all of the actions of the various systems of the body.

Keeping Your Edge

brain body communicationIf you want to be better at work, better in sports, or better for your family… regular Chiropractic care can give you the edge you’re looking for to be more productive in all aspects of your Life.

Your body’s ability to function at its best is only as good as its ability to receive and respond to messages from your Nerve System. While good nutrition, exercise and proper rest do contribute positively to the health of every cell and tissue in your body, it’s the free flow of mental impulses within your Nerve System that keeps all those cells and tissues focused on their physiological tasks at hand – leading to clearer thinking on the job, better muscle reaction on the field and deeper experiences with your loved ones.

A key factor to personal success is the ability to CONSISTENTLY perform physically and mentally to your potential. It’s no coincidence that so many pro-athletes, corporate leaders and celebrities look to Chiropractic to keep their edge. It can help you and your family stay sharp too.

Torque Release Technique

brain body communicationSpinal Subluxations can best be described as specific sites of spinal malfunction leading to irritation of the body’s central computer, the nervous system. The end result of this is separation from wholeness and an inability to experience well-being.

If the innate intelligence through the nerve system is allowed to express itself without interference (free of subluxations), the person can express full potential. If the nerve system “feels good”, then usually the rest of the body “works well”.

Research published in one of the most respected psychiatry journals showed dramatically increased success in reducing anxiety and depression levels, and improved measurements of well-being, when Torque Release Technique (“TRT”) Chiropractic Adjustments were received.

TRT is the most up-to-date chiropractic technique available. It has been designed as part of scientific research into the health benefits of chiropractic. As such it is a mixture of the ”best-of-the-best” systems of chiropractic assessment and care.

TRT helps to locate and reduce Subluxations.

What is involved with a TRT Adjustment?

Your Chiropractor will be checking your spinal column for areas where the nerve system is being damaged and interfered with by Subluxations and will deliver an adjustment using the Integrator instrument.

The Integrator reproduces what the hands were intended to do with much more specificity and less force than ever possible by hand. The advantage of the Integrator is that it can deliver a specific frequency to the segment of the spine where a subluxation has been detected.

A “jump start” for your body’s “electrical system”.

As such, this is not so much a technique to manually stretch or realign your body. It is a technique to stimulate your nerve system in such a way that it will assist your body to self-heal and allow your body to return to a state of better balance and well-being.

Calm Down!

fec187702c530a52e3d89ec2d7badf73

A calm person is far more likely to heal quicker and respond faster than a hysterical one with similar health problems.  Calmness accelerates healing and recovery time. In fact, calmness not only governs healing, it is a prime determinant of “Quality of Life.”

While inflammation, pain and edema can be described as noise in the cellular matrix of the body, fear, worry and irritation would be noise in the nerve system. These noises interfere with our lives, exhaust us, and wear down our resistance to disease, making us more susceptible to colds and flu, impeding recovery.

When our bodies are quiet, they are capable of amazing things. Calming this “noise” or stress in the nerve system is probably the single most important factor in increasing the body’s ability to heal itself and in increasing quality of life. When our nerve system is quiet we are able to think more clearly, concentrate better and adapt to the environment at a much higher level.

A chiropractic adjustment is the quickest and most effective way to calm the nerve system and improve healing. Since the nerve system is the chief means of communication in the body, noise can interfere with nerve flow and lead to health problems. Doctors of chiropractic specialize in calming the nerve system by restoring vital communication within the body by delivering a chiropractic adjustment to correct vertebral subluxations.

Avoiding A Train Wreck

Railroad crossing

Medical preventative care focuses mainly on the early detection and treatment of disease. Their thinking – if you catch a condition in its earliest stage (i.e. breast cancer or diabetes), you have a better chance of managing it. Although that rationale bears some truth, it leaves you waiting for the train wreck to happen before you can do anything about it.

In Chiropractic, preventative care focuses on supporting the ONE system dedicated to preserving the health of your whole body, your Spine and Nerve System. Because all normal body functions are first patterned in your Nerve System, so must ‘dis-ease’ be patterned in your Nerves System (subluxation) before it develops into an illness. It simply makes more sense to avoid the train wreck in your spine, before it manifests in your body.

The best prevention doesn’t simply ‘test and wait’ until you develop the disease… it focuses on removing the cause before it has a chance to manifest. That begins with interference in your nerve system. Are your loved ones protecting their health with preventative Chiropractic care?

Healing With The Brakes On

Automotive Brake and Gas Pedal

Have you ever felt like you’re spinning your wheels when it comes to staying healthy? You eat right, exercise five days a week and try to get enough sleep – you’ve got the ‘pedal to the metal’ when it comes to staying fit, but something’s holding you back. Maybe it’s time to pay more attention to your Nerve System.

Although you’ve got one foot on the gas, Subluxations can put the brakes on your progress. Subluxations are troublesome misalignments in your spine that irritate your Nerve System and rob you of potential health energy. The effect is like trying to drive with your brakes on.  You’ve got your fitness throttle wide open, but you’re going nowhere fast.

If you want to stop spinning your wheels when it comes to your health, prioritize your spinal care. When it comes to unleashing more health horse power, nothing releases the brake like Chiropractic can.
